Step into the early days of recorded sound with a live, hands-on program featuring an original Edison wax cylinder phonograph. Participants will listen to authentic recordings from the 1890s through the 1920s, explore antique phonographs up close, and, as a group, create a real recording on a wax cylinder using genuine early-1900s equipment

From the melodic strains of Danny Boy, to the fun and edgy Theme from Mission Impossible, Shiloh will take you on an exploration of musical tones and textures. Genres include traditional music, jazz, hip hop, pop, film scores, anime, country and good old rock and roll – all presented “Shiloh-Style.” Registration required.
