Margaret’s Florist in Miller Place burglarized by individual who stole cash, chocolates, police say

Sixth Squad detectives are trying to determine who stole cash and gourmet chocolates from a Miller Place florist shop, Suffolk County police said Monday.
Sometime between 6:45 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. Sunday, Margaret’s Florist at 986 Route 25A was burglarized, police said.
The shop’s owner furnished News 12 Long Island with surveillance video of a burglar in a hooded sweatshirt taking an unspecified amount of cash from the register.
The intruder also had his face covered and wore black gloves.
