A Selden man was fatally shot Sunday night at a billiards hall in Port Jefferson, Suffolk police said.

Albert Luis Rodriguez Lopez, 27, was shot about 8:30 p.m. inside Billiards DBM on Main Street, police said.

He was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Suffolk County medical examiner's office.

The investigation is ongoing. Police are asking anyone with information to call the Homicide Squad at 631-852-6392 or Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS.

Correction: An earlier version of this story had an incorrect last name based on information provided by police and also gave an incorrect location for the billiards hall.
