Centenarian: Rose Laria
ROSE LARIA, born Jan. 14, 1914, in Brooklyn, is one of 12 children. Her sole surviving sibling is her 93-year-old brother, Albert Ficocella. Rose married Joseph Laria on Sept. 2, 1934, and lived in Brooklyn. Rose was married for 79 years before being widowed in 1994. She has three children, Maria, Camille and Joseph, five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She attributes her longevity to her faith in God and the love of family. She enjoys cooking, baking and crocheting hats. She celebrated her birthday with family and friends. Rose lives in Coram.
