One person is dead, another injured in two incidents early Thursday along the north service road of the Long Island Expressway in Roslyn Heights, Nassau County police said.

One of the victims was a pedestrian, the other the driver of a car that overturned — both on westbound Powerhouse Road near the intersection of Roslyn Road, police said.

However, police said it was not immediately clear if the incidents were related and said they could not confirm which of the victims had died.

The car accident was reported in a 911 call at 5:52 a.m.

It was not immediately clear how police learned of the pedestrian incident, which was not reported in the 911 call about the overturned vehicle.

Detectives were on scene Thursday morning, investigating the accidents.

The westbound service road has been closed at Locust Lane, police said.
