Two men are dead after a motorcycle hit a pedestrian in Roosevelt on Saturday night, Nassau police said.

The crash occurred at Nassau Road and Lakewood Avenue about 10:45 p.m. The motorcyclist hit the pedestrian, who was crossing at a crosswalk. The rider became pinned under a car, while the pedestrian lay in the street, police said.

Nassau police identified the motorcycle rider as Orande Black, 38, of Massapequa. The name of the pedestrian had not been released Sunday night.

Both were taken to a hospital, where they were pronounced dead, police said.

Police planned to return to the scene Sunday to search for witnesses to the crash.
