A group of robbers, their faces covered by bandannas, robbed two teenage boys at gunpoint Thursday night on a street in Lakeview, police said. No one was injured.

Nassau County police said the two youths, 14 and 17, had been visiting the home of a friend in the area and were walking to a nearby bus stop when they were approached by "four or five unknown male subjects" wearing bandannas to cover their faces near Tanglewood Road. No further descriptions were available.

Police said the teens reported that jewelry, sneakers and cellphones were stolen at gunpoint and that the robbers fled on Tanglewood.

Police ask anyone with information about the robbery to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
