2 Valley Stream teens robbed of jewelry

Two Valley Stream teenagers were robbed of their jewelry Friday night, Nassau County Police said.

Detectives say a man grabbed the girls, 16 and 15, as they were walking east on Merrick Road at 8:35 p.m.

He took a necklace from the 16-year-old and a necklace and ring from the 15-year-old, then ran west on Merrick Road. Detectives described him as in his thirties wearing dark clothes.
