One or more thieves broke into a Syosset elementary school and stole 22 Apple computers early Friday morning, police said.

Nassau County detectives said that the thief or thieves broke a rear window to get into the South Grove Elementary School on Colony Lane sometime between 3 and 7 a.m.

A school employee found the damage and called Nassau police.

The computers were valued at more than $20,000, police said.

Detectives ask anyone with information on the crime to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
