Three Long Beach teens riding in a car on the Southern State Parkway in Merrick Thursday night face drug and weapons charges after one of them waved an air-powered BB gun out a window, State Police said.

A trooper was dispatched to the eastbound parkway in Merrick around 9:09 p.m. after a report that a passenger in a gray Nissan Altima was displaying a gun, according to a police report.

Police stopped the vehicle and placed the three teens in custody without incident.

Police said the vehicle's driver, Mohacir Cunha, 17, did not have a driver's license.

The front-seat passenger, George Buzzetta, 18, was arrested after it was determined he displayed the BB. The rear-seat passenger, Bryant Wolfson, 17, was found with a stun gun, police said.

Police also searched the car and found five plastic zip-lock bags with a total of nine grams of marijuana, the report said.

Wolfson is charged with criminal possession of a weapon. Buzzetta is charged with menacing and criminal possession of a weapon. The driver, Cunha, is charged with possession of marijuana and unlicensed operation of a vehicle. Arraignment information at First District Court in Hempstead was not immediately available.
