Two Westbury teens and a youth from Levittown face attempted burglary charges after a neighbor saw them try to break into a home in Wantagh, Nassau County police said.

Eight Precinct police arrested Yobani E. Ruiz, 18, of 208 Brook St., Jeffrey Larios, 17, of 232 Sheridan St. and the boy, a juvenile whom police are not identifying, shortly after 11:50 a.m. on Friday, according to a news release.

The three were unable to break into a home on Sarah Drive, police said, and fled southbound on foot. They were found by police a short time later, the release said.

All three are charged with attempted burglary and possession of burglary tools. Police said Larios was wearing a backpack with burglary tools inside.

Ruiz and Larios were scheduled to be arraigned Saturday at First District Court in Hempstead. The juvenile was issued an appearance ticket and released to his parents, police said.
