A man was beaten and robbed by three men early Friday morning in Freeport, Nassau County police said Sunday.

The victim, a 20-year-old man, was going into a building on Pine Street about 1 a.m. when three men wearing black sweatshirts and blue jeans came up to him, police said.

The men threw the victim to the ground and began punching him in the face, bruising him and breaking seven of his teeth, police said.

The men then took the victim's cellphone before running away, according to police, who added that the victim refused medical attention at the scene.

Police said anyone with information can call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 800-244-8477. All calls will be kept confidential.
