3 sought in N. Valley Stream store robbery
Two armed men walked into a furniture store on Dutch Broadway in North Valley Stream Wednesday night and stole $300 before fleeing in a Nissan Maxima with chrome rims and mirror tinted windows, Nassau County police said.
Police are searching for the two gunmen and the driver of the getaway car.
The robbery occurred at 7:10 p.m. at James Furniture, police said.
The two gunmen -- one described as 5-foot-5, wearing black clothing and a black ski mask and carrying a black semiautomatic pistol; the other, 5-foot-8, wearing black clothing and a black ski mask and carrying a silver revolver -- confronted the store owner and his father and demanded money, police said. Police said they got $300 and fled with the cash.
Police said the getaway car was "goldish-brown" in color. They said it was driven by a third man.
Police are asking anyone with information regarding the robbery to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
