Four men were arrested Monday and charged with attempted murder in connection with a stabbing outside a Hempstead bar earlier this month, Nassau police said.

Ciceron Rivera, 23, Klever Rivera, 24, Josael Gonzales, 20, and Barney Rivera, 20, all of 269 E. Columbia St., Hempstead, were all charged with second degree attempted murder, first degree assault and first degree gang assault.

A 25-year-old man, whose name was not released, was standing outside Coco II Bar on Fulton Avenue about 3:40 a.m. Nov. 7 when the stabbing took place, police said.

A group of men approached him, and during an argument, the men in the group produced knives and stabbed him in the head and torso, police said. The victim was able to escape on foot and was treated at a hospital, police said.

The four suspects were to be arraigned Tuesday in First District Court, Hempstead.
