4 Elmont firefighters hurt during drill

Four Elmont firefighters were injured, two seriously, when they fell off a truck during a training exercise Tuesday night, police said.

The four volunteer firefighters were at a training facility on Hungry Harbor Road in North Woodmere at 7:24 p.m., when they were injured, Nassau police said.

All four were taken to area hospitals for treatment, police said.
