Four people were taken to the hospital for minor injuries in a Hempstead Village blaze Tuesday night, the Hempstead Village fire dispatcher said.

About 55 firefighters from seven departments responded to the blaze at a Fairview Boulevard home, the fire department said.

As a precaution, two people there and two firefighters were taken to Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, the dispatcher said.

The fire was reported at 6:30 p.m. and was declared under control at 7:45 p.m., the fire official said.

The Nassau County fire marshal is investigating the cause.
