5 assailants rob man in Freeport
A 33-year-old man was robbed and attacked this week by five assailants in Freeport, Nassau County police said Wednesday.
At about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, the victim, whose name was not released, was walking southbound on Main Street near Craig Avenue when he was attacked, police said.
The victim tried to run but in his attempt to flee fell and scraped his hand. His attackers then grabbed him and went through his pockets, taking a cellphone. The suspects fled eastbound on Stevens Street, police said.
