A name game in Nassau race for county exec
What's in a name? Plenty, in the case of two Democratic campaigns for Nassau executive. Consider Justin Myers and Justin Meyers, both pronounced the same.
Myers, 33, of Manhattan, is running Roslyn businessman Adam Haber's executive campaign. Meyers, 28, of Locust Valley, is spokesman for North Hempstead Town Supervisor Jon Kaiman's campaign.
This can confuse reporters, potential voters and even the aides' friends. "I've had people call me and ask when I started working for the Haber campaign," said Kaiman's man Meyers.
The Justins are actually friends, and worked together on Hempstead Mayor Wayne Hall's 2009 re-election effort. -- Robert Brodsky
