Accident closes Hicksville road
Police closed northbound Route 106-107 across from the Broadway Mall in Hicksville because of an auto accident Tuesday morning.
Nassau County police said there were injuries, but could not immediately say how many people had been injured or how seriously. It was not immediately clear how many vehicles were involved in the crash.
The accident occurred at 8:55 a.m., police said. It was not clear how long the road would remain closed.
Police also said drivers should expect delays on Mineola Boulevard in Mineola because of a traffic signal outage at Second Street.
