Accident closes northbound Meadowbrook
A five-car chain-reaction crash closed all lanes of the northbound Meadowbrook State Parkway at Hempstead Turnpike in Uniondale Tuesday morning, police said.
The accident occurred at 7:54 a.m., State Police said. The road was reopened at about 9:10 a.m.
All of the damage was minor, police said, and there apparently were no injuries in the crash.
Earlier, traffic cameras showed traffic at a standstill in the area.
