Accident shuts westbound parkway in N. Valley Stream
The Southern State Parkway westbound lanes were closed late Monday night following a serious motor vehicle accident near exit 15 in North Valley Stream, state police said.
The accident involving a car and motorcycle took place sometime before midnight, police said.
Traffic cameras on the Department of Transportation's website Tuesday morning showed that the lanes had reopened.
