2nd suspect charged in $934.15 credit card fraud at Valley Stream Sears, cops say

The second of two men who tried to buy more than $900 worth of merchandise at a Valley Stream Sears with fraudulent credit cards earlier this month has been arrested, Nassau police said.
On the afternoon of Sept. 3, Dave Jennings and Adler Clermont used the cards to shop at a Sears in Green Acres Mall, ringing up purchases totaling $934.15, police said.
While Jennings and Clermont were waiting to pick up a television they had bought, store employees became suspicious and called police, authorities said. Jennings, 20, was arrested at the scene, but Clermont, 21, got away, police said.
An investigation led police to Clermont, who surrendered himself to detectives from the Crimes Against Property squad on Wednesday, police said.
Jennings, of Springfield, was charged with third-degree grand larceny and second-degree possession of a forged instrument, police said. He was arraigned on Sept. 4.
Clermont, of Queens Village, is charged with third-degree grand larceny and two counts of second-degree possession of a forged instrument. He is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday at First District Court in Hempstead.
