Police seek two in Uniondale robberies
Two men armed with a handgun and driving a red Hyundai are suspects in two Monday robberies in Uniondale, Nassau County police said.
The suspects took two cell phones, a pair of sneakers and a bag of food that was purchased at a nearby delicatessen in the robberies that occurred in a span of about 35 minutes, police said.
The two suspects first stopped a 16-year-old boy walking on Armond Street at about 7:55 p.m., taking a phone and the sneakers. The suspects drove away west on Lafayette Street, police said.
Then, at about 8:30 p.m., the two pulled their car alongside a man, 39, who was walking on Clark Place. The two left the car and took another phone and the bag of food, police said, before driving off east on Windsor Road.
No injuries were reported.
Police said the car was a 4-door Hyundai and that the handgun was black.
