A home health care nurse was arrested and charged with criminal possession of stolen property after police said she sold stolen jewelry to a secondhand dealer in Rockville Centre in December.

Nassau County police said Micheline Garcon, 43, of Bowden Avenue in Valley Stream, was charged with two counts of fifth-degree possession of stolen property stemming from the sale on Dec. 20.

The jewelry had been reported stolen from the home of an 89-year-old woman in Lynbrook and the home of an 85-year-old woman in North Massapequa, police said.

Police said Garcon worked at both homes.

Garcon was scheduled for arraignment Friday in First District Court in Hempstead.
