The victim in a fatal hit-and-run accident early Sunday in Williston Park has been identified as Dean Lalima, 41, of Albertson, police said.

But Nassau County police said they are still searching for the driver whose vehicle struck and killed Lalima at about 4:10 a.m. near the intersection of Syracuse Street and Broad Street. The vehicle was traveling northbound on Broad, according to police.

Police said Lalima was pronounced dead at the scene by a Nassau County Ambulance advanced medical technician at 4:20 a.m. No other details were immediately available.

Police ask anyone with information regarding the accident to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
