All Nassau beaches open to swimming

All Nassau County beaches operating for 2013's season are now open, county health officials said Thursday in a release.
As of Tuesday morning, 19 beaches had been closed to bathing as a precautionary measure related to heavy rainfall, which could have led to higher bacterial levels through stormwater runoff, the health department said.
