All Nassau County pools to be open soon
All five Nassau County outdoor swimming pool complexes will be open for the summer by next June 27, County Executive Edward Mangano has announced.
The two pools at Nickerson Beach Park (516-571-7700) in Lido Beach opened Saturday. The rest will open on the 27th.
"As Nassau County residents plan their summer family time and consider more 'stay-cations,' our outdoor pool facilities provide a wonderful opportunity for recreation, as well as a great centerpiece around which to build an entire day's activities," Mangano said in a news release.
The complexes include three "water theme" facilities at Cantiague Park (516-571-7056) in Hicksville, North Woodmere Park (516-571-7800), Wantagh Park (516-571-7460) and a larger complex at Christopher Morley Park (516-571-8113) in Roslyn-North Hills.
Daily and seasonal fees vary, based on factors including age and whether the person has purchased a Leisure Pass, which is available only to Nassau residents.
