Ambulance driver injured responding to call

A Nassau County police ambulance driver was injured while responding to a call Sunday night in Garden City Park, a police spokesman said.

The driver suffered "minor injuries" in a collision with another vehicle at Herricks Road and Crystal Place at 7:21 p.m. and was taken to a hospital.

No patients were in the ambulance at the time. The condition of the other driver was not immediately known.
