A Hempstead man driving through the village was arrested after witnesses reported seeing him with a gun, Nassau police said Wednesday.

Andre Isaac, 19, of 244 East Columbia St., was arraigned Wednesday on charges of second- and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, police said.

Hempstead police spotted him on Seaman Avenue just before 3 p.m. Tuesday and recovered a loaded .38-caliber revolver, Nassau police said.

Isaac's bail was set at $15,000 cash or $25,000 bond. He was represented by Legal Aid, which does not comment on cases.
