A man armed with a black handgun robbed the People's United Bank in East Hills on Friday, Nassau County police said.

The robbery occurred about 4:50 p.m. Friday at the bank on Glen Cove Road. A man in his 60s entered and aimed the gun at two bank employees and demanded money, police said.

After receiving cash, the man fled into a rear parking lot. The police Robbery Squad ask that anyone with information about the crime call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. Callers will remain anonymous.
