<a href="/topics//Nassau_County,_NY">Nassau</a> County police are seeking an armed man who tried to rob a <a href="/topics//GAS_(designer)">gas</a> station in Bellmore early Sunday. 
 Police said a man wearing a black jacket, black hat and a scarf and carrying a black handgun went to the <a href="/topics//BP_plc">BP</a> <a href="/topics//GAS_(designer)">gas</a> station at 2425 <a href="/topics//Merrick,_NY">Merrick</a> Rd. just after midnight. 
 A 22-year-old male employee at the station saw the suspect try the door, which was locked, before running north on Newbridge Road toward <a href="/topics//Sunrise_Highway,_NY">Sunrise Highway</a>, police said. 
 Police ask anyone with information about this case to contact <a href="/topics//Nassau_County,_NY">Nassau</a> County Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. <a href="/topics//Callers_(musician)">Callers</a> will be kept anonymous.
