Armed men rob Roosevelt home, police say
Police are searching for as many as a half-dozen armed men who they said burst into a home in Roosevelt Monday evening, ordered eight people to the floor, then stole jewelry, electronics and cash.
Nassau County police said the incident occurred at 6:10 p.m. on Hudson Avenue. They said that between two and six armed men were involved in the home invasion.
It was not immediately clear if the house was targeted. Police did not provide a value of the goods stolen.
No one was injured.
Police said the robbers wore black ski masks and gloves and were armed with handguns. They said they fled "in an unknown direction."
Police are asking anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential, police said.
