Armed men storm Oceanside home
Three armed men stormed a home in Oceanside just before midnight Thursday and ordered three victims in the house not to move, police said. Then, the gunmen stole a flat-screen TV, a BlackBerry, an Xbox video game system, a driver's license, paychecks, a leather bag - and $1 in cash.
No one was injured, but the trio got away, Nassau County police said.
The home invasion took place on Mildred Street at 11:52 p.m. The three men, all believed to be in their 20s and wearing black hooded sweatshirts and bandannas that covered their faces, pushed in a rear door and ordered the residents to the floor at gunpoint, police said. Then they stole the goods.
Police are asking anyone with information on the burglary to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
