A bagel shop employee was robbed at gunpoint in Elmont early Sunday morning, Nassau County police said.

Police said a man wearing a ski mask, black pants and a blue shirt and carrying a black handgun went through the rear door of Bagel Talk at 1413 Hempstead Tpke. and demanded property from the 36-year-old employee he found there.

The victim gave the man cash and a cellphone before the man ran away, police said.

The employee was not injured.
