A Queens man is charged with using counterfeit $100-bills to purchase electronics from a Westbury department store in May, Nassau County police said Monday.

Malek Harrison, 24, of 225-04 145th Rd., Jamaica, surrendered to detectives Monday and is charged with two counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument, police said.

He was scheduled to be arraigned Monday at First District Court in Hempstead.

Detectives from the Crimes Against Property Squad said Harrison twice purchased electronics from the Target store at 999 Corporate Dr. on May 24, each time using the counterfeit bills.

Police did not give details about the items that were purchased or specify the number of counterfeit bills allegedly used but said the total loss to the store was about $1,000.
