A Baldwin man died after his car struck the rear of a freight truck in Massapequa Thursday afternoon, Nassau police said.

Joseph Intrabartola, 85, was driving westbound on Sunrise Highway at 1:40 p.m., police said, when he struck the truck.

Intrabartola was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital in Bethpage, where he was pronounced dead at 2:22 p.m. No one else was injured, police said.

There was no indication of criminality, police said.

The westbound Sunrise Highway between Broadway and Hicksville Road in Massapequa was closed for several hours after the accident.
