A 2-year-old boy was in critical condition Thursday after he was found in a residential swimming pool in Baldwin and pulled out by a relative, police said.

The incident occurred at 10:44 a.m. at a residence on Vivian Court, Nassau police said.

After the boy was taken out of the pool, CPR was administered and he was taken to an area hospital, where he was in critical condition, police said.

Police provided no further details in a Thursday afternoon news release.
