A dozen trailers went up in flames Friday at the county-owned Battle Row Campground in Old Bethpage, according to the Nassau police.
The trailers — 11 house trailers and one recreational trailer — were unoccupied, and no one was hurt, according to Officer Eric Evensen, a Nassau police spokesman.
He said the fire’s cause is still being investigated.
The campground, at 1 Claremont Rd., is 44 acres of campsites and dense woods, according to a Nassau County government website.
