Bayville-Mill Neck bridge stalls traffic

The bridge that connects Bayville and Mill Neck has been stuck since noon Sunday, cutting off all traffic across it, Nassau County police said.

Due to a "mechanical problem" with the bridge, anyone traveling from Bayville to Mill Neck should use an alternative method, a Nassau County police official said.

It was unclear Sunday afternoon how long the bridge would be closed, police said.
