A 23-year-old Bethpage man was arrested Thursday on drug and weapon possession charges after New York State Police stopped him for speeding on the Southern State Parkway, police said.

State troopers in Farmingdale found Paul Krill, who was driving a blue Volkswagen, to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana, several hundred morphine pills, 21 oxycodone pills and an illegal billy club, police said. Krill was pulled over at 12:32 p.m. near Exit 29 in North Massapequa.

The charges include criminal possession of narcotics, third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, unlawful possession of marijuana and traffic violations, police said.

Arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead, Krill is being held at Nassau County jail on $80,000 bond or cash. His next court date is April 9.
