Officials: Crash temporarily shuts Bethpage State Parkway
A motor vehicle crash Monday night prompted the temporary closure of lanes in both directions on Bethpage State Parkway.
According to the state Department of Transportation website informny.com, the crash involved two vehicles. The crash happened just after 7:30 p.m. State Police were working the scene on the parkway near exits B3 and B2 near Farmingdale.
No further details about the accident were made available late Monday night.
The parkway had reopened in time for the Tuesday morning commute.
