More than 100 firefighters battled a late-night blaze at a Long Island Power Authority and National Grid building in Hicksville Tuesday night, a dispatcher said.

The fire at the multistory building, located at 175 E. Old Country Road, contains both offices and equipment used by the two agencies. Fire officials said at about midnight that the fire was under control. It was called in at 10:57 p.m., officials said.

The dispatcher said it wasn't immediately clear whether anyone was hurt.
