Body found in waters off Wantagh Park, police say
A body was found Thursday afternoon in the waters off Wantagh Park, Nassau police said.
Police were called at 12:54 p.m. to the boat ramp area of the Nassau County park, where someone spotted the body in the water, police said.
A police spokesman said an unoccupied boat was also found in the vicinity of the body. No further information was immediately available. Police are on the scene investigating.
