A boy who was struck by a vehicle in New Cassel Tuesday is in serious but stable condition at Nassau University Medical Center, a hospital spokeswoman said.

The boy, under 10 years old, was struck at about 6:30 p.m. near 22 Swalm St., according to Nassau County police.

A police spokeswoman said she did not have any more information.

A spokeswoman for the East Meadow hospital said Wednesday morning the boy was in the pediatric intensive care unit but she could not provide any more information, citing privacy law.
