A Brooklyn man, who had agreed to purchase a 2004 Audi A4 from a Westbury used car lot Friday night, instead displayed a loaded silver Derringer pistol and stole the car and an employee's cellphone, Nassau police said.

Dave Brimmer, 21, of Montauk Avenue in East New York, arrived at the used car lot on Urban Avenue at 8:45 p.m. to discuss purchasing the vehicle.

After agreeing to a sale price, a 40-year-old lot employee entered the store office to retrieve the keys and the title.

But, when he returned, Brimmer displayed a gun and demanded the keys, title and the victim's cellphone, police said.

Brimmer fled in the Audi but was found a short time later driving westbound on the Southern State Parkway by an officer from Nassau's Fifth Precinct.

The officer stopped the vehicle and arrested Brimmer without incident. The loaded Derringer was found in the car, police said.

Brimmer is charged with first-degree robbery and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

He will be arraigned Saturday at First District Court in Hempstead.
