Plainclothes Nassau County police officers arrested three men, including two brothers, in Roosevelt Tuesday after they saw a drug transaction outside a home on William Street, police said.

Tyrell Gaddy, 23, of Archer Street, Freeport, his brother, Tyrone Gaddy, 20, of 196th Avenue, Brooklyn, and Michael Hernandez, 22, of Feller Drive, Central Islip, were arrested, police said. Tyrell Gaddy was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, fifth-degree and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree criminal contempt and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

Tyrone Gaddy was charged with trespass, while Hernandez was charged with obstructing governmental administration, police said.

All three were scheduled for arraignment Wednesday in First District Court in Hempstead.

Police said plainclothes officers from the First Precinct observed the three "engaged in what appeared to be a drug transaction" in front of the house at 7:39 p.m.

Police said that as the officers approached the home, Tyrell Gaddy dropped a brown bag and fled to the rear of the home, carrying what they said was "a large black semiautomatic weapon."

As one officer chased Gaddy, police said Hernandez "attempted to block the officer's path." Gaddy ran into the house, police said.

Police said the officer followed Gaddy into the home, where there were three adults and two children, and arrested him. Police said they recovered the brown bag, which contained "what appeared to be white rock cocaine," as well as five pills. A .9-mm handgun also was recovered, police said.

Hernandez was arrested at the scene. Police said Tyrone Gaddy fled, but was caught in a rear yard on nearby East Roosevelt Avenue, police said.
