Bullet fired through window in Roosevelt
Nassau police are investigating a Roosevelt shooting that injured a 42-year-old man in his East Greenwich Avenue home just after midnight.
The victim, who was not named by police, was struck in the shoulder by a rifle round while he stood in the hallway of his home, police said. The shot came through a glass window and was followed by a second shot that did not harm anyone, police said.
The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was treated and released for his injury.
Police ask anyone with information about the incident to call 1-800-244-TIPS. Callers will remain anonymous, police said.
