Nassau police have reopened all westbound lanes of the Long Island Expressway, after shutting down a portion of the roadway following a bus fire near Old Westbury earlier.

Shortly before 7 p.m., Nassau and Old Westbury police officials responded to calls reporting a fire on a coach bus between exits 39 and 40. All but one lane of the westbound Long Island Expressway between both exits were closed until 8:37 p.m. as authorities worked to put out the fire and investigate the incident. .

A police spokeswoman said no injuries were reported from the fire, which occurred near Exit 39, Old Westbury Road.
