A woman lost control of her car on New Hyde Park Road in Garden City, crashing through a fence and landing the car on top of two cars parked at a church on Easter Sunday, Garden City police said.

The unidentified driver was traveling south when she clipped a northbound car, leaving the roadway and crashing through a fence at The Church of Saint Anne, 35 Dartmouth St.

The car came to a stop atop two parked cars at the church.

No one was injured, police said, and there were no signs that the driver was impaired. No one answered the phone at the church Sunday afternoon.
