Cedarhurst road reopens after diesel spill
A truck leaking diesel fuel closed Peninsula Boulevard in Cedarhurst to traffic Friday morning, Nassau County police said.
The road was closed southbound at Oxford Road, a police spokeswoman said. Police issued an alert on the closure at about 9:40 a.m.
The spokeswoman said the truck was leaking diesel fuel and traffic was stopped so crews could clean up the road.
Police said the road was opened to traffic shortly before 11 a.m.
